Lil House on Dauphin Island

Picture yourself sipping a cool drink while sitting in a cushioned, white wicker swing or rocking chair on a veranda-style porch, watching an incredible sunset over the water just a few feet away.

This charming 4 bedroom, 3 bath cottage has heart pine floors throughout, and all linens are furnished.  Each of the 3 upstairs bedrooms has a door opening onto a covered porch that wraps completely around the house.  The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and a private bath with shower.   There are full sized beds in each of the other 2 upstairs bedrooms, and another bath with tub and shower.  Also, one of the two sofas in the family room pulls out into a queen sized bed.  Downstairs, the 12' X 20' carpeted bedroom especially appeals to teens, as it has its own entrance, a bath with shower, bunk beds, a sitting area with sofa, cable TV, Playstation,  separate air conditioner, and opens onto a large covered wooden deck.

This deck is great for grilling (gas grill furnished) or just rocking in the rocking chairs while the sun sets over the Mississippi Sound.

The kids can build sand castles in the white sandy yard, while the Gulf beach is but a two block walk.  A seawall and boardwalk in front of the house provides for excellent fishing, as well as easy boat loading and/or unloading, swimming and skiing.  A bonus is access to a boat slip on a protected lagoon across the street.

The fully-equipped all-electric kitchen has a stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and standard-sized refrigerator with ice maker. Small appliances include a coffee maker, toaster oven, blender, and toaster.  There are dishes and flatware for twelve.

The dining area and family room are separated from the kitchen by a long bar.  The table seats 6 to 8 and the bar has 5 bar stools.  The family room has cable TV, DVD and VCR.

Other amenities include a washer and dryer, and covered concrete parking underneath house.  There is a beautiful view of the bridge, and don't forget the spectacular sunsets that are completely unobstructed.
